and Coffee Hour
(Mid-May to Mid-September)
9:00 Worship (No Sunday School)
This is our primary gathering as a congregation. Our Traditional Worship is organ-led and mostly includes hymns from Evangelical Lutheran Worship (2006). Our Contemporary Worship is led by piano and vocals and has more upbeat songs from a variety of sources. Both services meet in the Sanctuary. Communion is celebrated the first and second Sundays of each month. Both newcomers and oldcomers are invited for fellowship and coffee/snacks between services in Grace Hall. The 8:30/9:00 service is live broadcast on KLQP 92.1FM (listen live here) and our second service is broadcast on Dawson local-access TV at 2:00PM on Wednesdays.
Tuesday Afternoon (Once Monthly)
2:00 Communion Worship in Grace Hall
This service is a small (10-25 people) communion service that meets the first Tuesday following the first Sunday of the month in Grace Hall. It is attended primarily by those who have a more difficult time attending Sunday morning worship. Music is piano-led and is primarily hymns from Lutheran Book of Worship (1978).
First Friday of the Month
10:00 JMCC Communion Worship
The first Friday of each month, one of the pastors from Grace Lutheran leads a communion service at Johnson Memorial Care Center. All residents as well as visitors are invited to this service. Music is typically piano-led and features familiar hymns.
Wednesday Evenings during Lent
6:00 Lenten Supper
The season of Lent is a time of preparation and self-examination as we prepare for the good news of resurrection on Easter Sunday. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing through the Wednesday before Palm Sunday, we celebrate Lenten suppers and services. These services are usually 35-45 minutes long and generally use Holden Evening Prayer. Service is in the Sanctuary and supper is in Grace Hall.
