A copy of their meeting schedule will be posted in the summer bulletins.
Save the Date! Our Volunteer Appreciation night and Outdoor Polka worship will be on Wednesday, July 12th!
Radio & Bulletin Sponsorship
Openings are available to sponsor the bulletins or radio broadcast this summer. Bulletins are $30.00 and the radio broadcast is $50.00. Call the church office if you would like to reserve a date.
Senior Meal Site
Riverside Manor Apartments is looking for a volunteer to occasionally help serve noon meals at their senior meal site. Please contact the church office or Janet Liebl at 769-2332 if you are able to help.
The Tenth Triennial Gathering of the Women of the ELCA (the national gathering) will be held Minneapolis this year July 13-16, 2017. The theme resonates with the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Scheduled are inspiring speakers, special musicians, worship and praise, workshops, and an exhibit hall for visiting and shopping. More specific information is forthcoming.
Our LQP Conference of the Women of the ELCA is considering a day (either Friday or Saturday) at the gathering in Mpls rather than have the fall retreat in September. A bus would be hired to transport the women attending for the day and the cost for the bus would be approximately $50.00. In addition, the registration for the day would be $175.00 per person.
If anyone has any interest in attending this event, it is necessary to contact Bernice Oellien right away and pay the $50.00 for the bus. The bus cost may be less once they have the final numbers. If there is not enough interest, the bus fee will be returned. The check should be made out to the LQP Conference and send to Bernice Oellien at 2570 – 80th Street, Madison, MN 56256.
You may check with Susan Christopher, LQP Conference President, regarding registration procedures.
Please give this your prayerful consideration. Online reviews show this is to be a very inspirational event to attend.
We are looking for members wishing to assist in worship. These opportunities include: Usher, Lector, Greeters, Media Tech (2nd Service), Grace Choir, Praise Team, and Communion Assistant. Anyone wishing to share their talents and abilities or would like more info can sign up or contact the church office. Rice Hospice will be offering Healing Hearts Bereavement Support Groups for individuals who have experienced loss. Support groups are held in Clarkfield and Willmar. For more information call (320)231-4450.
Respite Care Providers Needed
Respite Care is the term used to refer to the act of leaving a loved one with special needs in the temporary care of anther party. Respite care may help children by lowering the stress level at home. Typical recipients of respite care are special needs children with mental health needs, developmental disabilities or physical disabilities, but it is becoming increasingly common for the elderly as well. Please contact LqP Family Services at 320-598-7594 if you are interested or have questions. Please specify the population you would feel most comfortable with. Thank you!
