Members present:  Delaine, Becky, Emily, Sharon, Ilene, Diane, Sandy, Pastor John

 

1.  Devotions were given by Delaine.

 

2.  Emily explained that she ordered the Lenten devotionals which will be given to our church members.  Our board will help distribute them to businesses downtown.  We will put stickers in them at our next meeting.

 

3.  We discussed ideas for an evangelism project.  Pastor John explained "spiritual mapping" which is identifying residents in our community who do not have a church home and making contact with them to invite them to our church.  It was decided to fucus on this project.  To begin, each board member that lives in town was asked to identify people in their neighborhood who could be contacted by letter with information about our church.  Emily and Diane will draft a letter to send to those people.

 

4.  Sharon will give devotions at our November meeting.

 

5.  Next meeting is Weds, Nov 2 at 6:30.
